"Mr. Walker: I want to send you an email expressing our groups sincere appreciation to you and your staff for assisting our group Friday evening when one of our riders went down with a flat on his back tire. It was late in the afternoon and when I called your dealership and requested a tow your staff arrived in just minutes to trailer the ultra to you service department. It was hot and your staff even brought cold water which was a real life saver (the little details really make an impression). Our group finished the SS 1000 in time thanks to your staff. "One of the best advertisement vehicles is "word of mouth". I had heard many good things about Big Spring Harley Davidson. My wife and I was piddling one weekend and went in to just look around and say hi. I was pleasantly suprised to find people behind the counter and the wrenches in the shop who actually believe in service and care about their customers. Brian took the time out of his day to give me a tour of his shop and met the entire shop staff. They may be a small place, but their service commitment is huge. My visit was enjoyable and I walked in as a stranger and left as a friend.... don't find that often in the business world theses days. I will be back! "

The bike I was looking for was on the Big Spring web site at an unbelievable price (it had to be gone). When I called, Robert said that he had just listed it and he still had it. "If you live closer than Canada, give these guys a try. There's other guys closer to me, but its worth the short ride over to Big Spring. "My experience at The Harley Davidson Shop was the absolute best it could possibly be. I limped my bike into Big Spring and the entire staff bent over backwards to help. From Bill the service manager and Cathy taking time to fit me into the schedule, Adam the service technician jumping right in and doing everthing he could to get me back on the road, to Marijo being kind enough to allow me to continue my trip to Ruidoso on a loaner while the problem was diagnosed, the family atmosphere and customer focus was way above and beyond! No HD owned dealer in the DFW area (or anywhere else) would even think of providing that level of service. Thanks to Howard for his time, knowledge, and VW. I think he enjoyed a little wrench work on an Evo too!! Robert and Vickie helped me scope out the 2010s and get a real good feel for the next bike to buy with a no nonsense approach to the pricing. I'm still making up my mind but will definitely be making the trip to Big Spring when (not if) the time comes to add another HD to my family. This shop has the kind of people and spirit I used to see more of in the HD world. I never thought I'ld say this but; Thank God I broke down in Big Spring TX!! "

"You guys went above and beyond the call of duty! When I broke a throttle cable in Lamesa Tx, the fire department directed me to Brett over at Automotive Specailties in Lamesa, Brett hooked me up with the west Texas infamous Bailling wire, so good it got me to your shop in Big Springs Tx, might I add, in the rain! I got to your shop in amazement to find that Brett had already called your shop and informed your service department to expect me, and that I needed a throttle cable, which was already laying on the counter, at which time a person from your service department greeted me, got my bike rolled in the shop and him and another technician teamed up and got it replaced in record time. I am a loyal customer to your shop when I am back in the San Angelo area! Your shop is run the way a Harley Store should be run. People helping people! This make one bike per generation of this family. 1st was my 1967 FLH from the Cecil the orginal owner, than my daughters 1988 883 Hugger from Howard his son in law and daughter, now the 09 from Robert his grandson. 21 years between bikes, but family and service is still the small town friendly people that they have always been. The price I paid was less that any dealer in Dallas offered me; including my airline ticket and the items I asked them to add to the bike. They even entertained my riding buddies who beat me to the shop so they could escort me back to Dallas. A great experience with an excellent dealership. They have my business from now on!"

"Hi,I was a customer and friend to Cecil Thixton from 1952 to when I sold my bike in1955. (married a local girl from Cohoma) I was stationed at Webb from 1952 to 1956 and have many fond memories of everyone connected to the shop. Cecil would always have us involved in something, Poker runs, scavenger hunts , or just going down the street for coffee. On many occasions he would invite a bunch of out to his house for coffee and fellowship. There was several of us from the base that had harley's, I can only remember a few, Wayne Patrick ,Red Tolbert& William P.Macentire. Local riders were Moon Mullins & a young boy named Billy(can;t remember last name). I also remember a crippled guy that was a mechanic there. Is there any pictures from that time frame? Is the shop still located in the same place? This sure brings back a lot of memories."

" While at Tx. State Shrine Convention in San Antonio, I was intrested in get a new bike and asked some of the other Shriners how you could get a Shriner special as I have not found any one to order me one with the Special pricing in the DFW area. They said it was easy just give, Robert Walker a call at The Harley Davidson Shop in Big Springs, Texas. Which I did as soon as I got back home. I fact when I call Robert and I ordered over the phone, one for my self and one for a fellow brother in my Directors Unit at Moslah. Robert and his staff are great and Robert kept us informed as to the progress on the bikes, as it was to late in the year to get an 08; so the other Mark and I got some of the first 09's to be unloaded in Texas Well that was back in late October and since we have riden over 1500 miles on Shrine Fat Boys. The dealership and its staff are great people and believe me "Stright-Up and good to thir word". The other Mark has already made it back for his 1st/ service and I was unable to go along that week end and had my service done some where else here in Fort Worth which was an all together different experence. My point is when you Finely make the big decession to ride the Best why not deal and buy from the BEST and OLDEST Harley dDealership in Texas. I know Robert and his staff will treat you the same as the other Mark and I, regardless of wheather or not you are a Shriner too. "We were four bikes on the way to Ruidoso, NM from San Antonio, Texas who broke down outside of Sonora, Texas when one rider had flats on both tires. We called Big Spring HD (150 miles away) and Robert and his wife came and got us, trailered the bike back to Big Spring and changed out both tires and tubes late that night getting the rider ready to pull out first thing the next morning. Big Spring HD is the oldest HD dealership in Texas and is 3rd generation owned. They are a small shop with great service and prices. I dont have any interest in the business but wanted to tell everyone to please stop by if you are ever passing thru Big Spring, Texas. They went the extra mile for us and if you check other posting you will see similar results. Thanks again to Robert and his wife and all the wrenches at Big Spring HD for getting us on the road again. "

"I was born and raised in Big Spring Texas, attended Schools there, left after joining the Air Force never looked back,came home only for family reunions and funerals.My parents have since passed and have no reason to return.I have patronized your business a couple of times during my visits home since I now ride a harley. All good memories.But in the past two years, my roots have been tugging at me.My husband and I travel alot on our Harleys and all over the US.Most recently made a cross country ride to Seattle Washington via New Mexico spent five days with our son that is stationed in Navy , then across to Sturgis and back home to Arkansas. All in two weeks, 5300 miles and eighteen states later we arrived home safe.My point you might ask? Well we stopped in many Harley shops and biker hangouts,reststops etc. didnt matter, all i had to say was i was from Big Spring Texas and someone had heard of your shop.All great stories and comments of what your staff has done for them and how friendly and the history of the dealership. I was so shocked that so many people knew of the town that i was born and raised in and so tried to get out of my mind. I am so proud of you guys... and proud to have been raised in Big Spring Texas.Out of all of my T shirt collection, my Big spring shirt is the most worn out,that is on my list to order a new shirt and wear it proudly. I wore the old one to sturgis and it strikes up a lot of conversations. See you guys soon,planning a rode trip there soon from a native biker from afar. "

The staff at "The Harley Davidson Shop" didnt' hesitate to help me with all my questions, financing concerns and any other "off the wall" question I threw at them. They field them all with a warm smile and sometimes a chuckle. I was running late picking up my new scooter. They stayed late on a Saturday to make sure I got on the road. "In 2002, my wife (girlfreind at the time) and I had taken a trip. We were on our way back to Waco on my Shovelhead. My bike had started to leak oil out of the transmission. I pulled into the dealership, met the owners (which were extremely nice), and told them what my delima was. He told me that they did not carry the 80-90 wt oil that I needed. However, he actualy picked up the phone, called someone, and, had them bring me some oil to the dealership. Now I don't know about you, but, I do not feel that you could get any better service than that. During our visit, we could not have felt more at home if we were at home. These are some great people!!"
